Rare Awake Craniotomy performed on woman to successfully remove brain tumour
A 27 yr old girl underwent brain tumour excision (Awake Craniotomy) from her speech area - left posterior temporal lobe.
The Surgical team headed by Dr Murali Mohan S; and the Anesthesia team headed by Dr Gayathri, have performed surgery. She withstood the procedure of brain tumour removal, without any deficits or speech / memory issues. Indian Express Published this article on 24th August 2022.

Neuro ICU started in Sagar Hospitals, Banshankari exclusively to nurse the neurological & Neurosurgical patients. The ICU is well equipped with advanced Neuro care facilities including Neuro monitoring. Neuro doctors are available round the clock & 24X7 trained Neuro Nursing staffs are available. Patients of wide variety of Neurological & Neuro surgical illnesses are treated here which includes Ischaemic & hemorrhagic stroke, head injury, neuro infections, intracranial tumor, neuromuscular disorders etc. Patients are provided with continued care till discharge by the neuro team.
Patients are also provided with excellent rehab by the department of physiotherapy. Excellent service is provided by the dietary department in taking care of the nutrition of our patients.

We attempted to break the record for most pledges received for Stroke Awareness in one week.
