Dr. Ramamurthy has a long and distinguished career in Cardiology. He began his medical training with an MBBS degree from Bangalore Medical College in 1985. An MD in Internal Medicine from AIIMS, Delhi in 1989 and DM degree in Cardiology form AIIMS, Delhi in 1992 set the stage for his career in Cardiology. He went on to hone his skills further with a CCST degree in Cardiology awarded by a specialist training authority, in London, in 2005. He has also been awarded affiliate Memberships to MRCP and FRCS (both in London) during his stint in cardiology.

Dr Ramamurthy has practised cardiology in several eminent hospitals, prior to taking up his current position with Sagar Hospital. These include:
