Dr. Ann completed her MBBS, MRCPCH and subsequently went on to acquire training in Paediatrics and Tertiary Neonatology from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow (Yorkhill), and Tayside University Hospitals, Dundee, UK, with a rotation that included neonates, surgical neonates, paediatric cardiology and acute paediatrics.

She completed her Paediatric Neurology training at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. This included training as an Epilepsy Fellow at the Kings College Hospital and Evelina Children’s Hospital in London. During this time, she was involved with epilepsy research, epilepsy genetics, Vagal Nerve Stimulation services, ketogenic diet clinics and epilepsy surgeries.

  • Won the best poster prize for 'Predictors of HUS in E Coli 0157 infection' at the Weish Paediatric Society autumn meet in Nov 2006. (Dr Joishy, Dr A A Mathew, Dr Palakurthy, Dr Rangarajan)
  • Was awarded 'The Catholic Medical Guild of St Luke, Bombay Award' for securing the hishest marks in final MBBS in St John's Medcal college, India in 2001
  • Oct 2011/ May 2011 : Case presentation at stroke interest group meeting
  • July 2011 : Overview of neuromuscular presentation in infancy, at ICAN(Indian Child & Adolescent neurology conference), chennai
  • Jan 2011 : poster presentation on MYH7 myopathy at the british paediatric neurology association meeting in edinburgh
  • May 2010 : Neuromuscular update course held at the national institute of neurology and neurosurgery
