Neuroscience is the study of the nervous system, which includes the brain, the spinal cord and networks of sensory nerve cells (neurons) throughout the body.
The Department of Neurosciences is equipped with a state-of-the-art Neurophysiology Lab to conduct Electromyogram (EMG), Nerve Conduction, evoked potential studies and Electroencephalogram (EEG). The laboratory carries out routine investigations; specialized tests.
The Neurosurgery team will be effectively dealing with stereotactic surgeries, spine and skull based surgeries. Spinal implants for spasticity are done as well.
The Department has facilities to carry out investigative procedures such as CT Scan, MRI, MRA and Neuro Electrophysiological Studies necessary for diagnostic evaluation of most neurological disorders.
